"For almost 2 years I have had bursitis in my left hip. I have gone through pain managment with many shots, pills, physical therapy, and doctors telling me they didn't know what else could be done.

I was unable to climb stairs, walk long

distances and my biggest problem was lack of sleep.  A friend referred me to 
Kate Hoffmann, AP.  After an hour and a half of discussion about my history 
and problems, and noticing a "bump" on my left hip where the bursitis was, she
expained the procedure of acupuncture and gave me a treatment.

procedure.  With the needles in, and her healing hands placed on me, I felt a

Now, after 6 treatments, my pain is minimal. I can now walk farther, climb stairs,

Kate Hoffman is a very good Reiki teacher and practitioner.  She started her introductory class by giving each participant a Reiki treatment as she taught us the background of Mikao Usui, the founder. We were all incredibly relaxed and happy by the time we left.  When she touches you, you can feel the difference from others--just the right amount of pressure to allow strong energy to flow. I certainly appreciate the fact that she is a master practitioner of Reiki and not just a good teacher.   Kate comes from a traditional Reiki background and is very thorough in her teaching approach, but she also has so much experience that she talks about when it's all right to incorporate more American methods. The weekend was enjoyable and empowering.
