Kate Hoffman is a very good Reiki teacher and practitioner. She started her introductory class by giving each participant a Reiki treatment as she taught us the background of Mikao Usui, the founder. We were all incredibly relaxed and happy by the time we left. When she touches you, you can feel the difference from others--just the right amount of pressure to allow strong energy to flow. I certainly appreciate the fact that she is a master practitioner of Reiki and not just a good teacher.
Kate comes from a traditional Reiki background and is very thorough in her teaching approach, but she also has so much experience that she talks about when it's all right to incorporate more American methods. The weekend was enjoyable and empowering. I grew closer to the other students, had ample opportunities to use Reiki, and have already had great success in treating family, friends, patients, and myself.
